Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, Drake, and other Canadian artists have been nominated for the 2026 Grammy Awards. Bieber received four nominations for his surprise album “Swag,” including Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year. This marks Bieber’s fifth nomination in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, tying him with Justin Timberlake for most nominations by a male artist in that category. Additionally, his songs “Daisies” and “Yukon” were nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best R&B Performance, respectively.

Cirkut, a producer from Halifax and a previous Grammy winner, leads the Canadian nominations with seven nods. He is nominated for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, for his work on Lady Gaga’s album “Mayhem,” Ed Sheeran’s “Play,” and more. Cirkut is also up for Record of the Year for Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” and Bruno Mars and Rosé’s “Apt,” as well as Album of the Year for “Mayhem” and Best Dance Pop Recording for “Abracadabra.”

Tate McRae, a pop star from Calgary, received her first Grammy nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording for her song “Just Keep Watching” from the “F1” soundtrack, which is also nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

Other notable Canadian nominees include Tobias Jesso Jr. for Songwriter of the Year, non-classical, Vancouver’s Spiritbox for Best Metal Performance, and audio engineer Serban Ghenea with six nominations, including Record of the Year for his work on Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” and Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra.”

Drake, who last received a Grammy nomination in 2024, is nominated for Best Melodic Rap Performance with PartyNextDoor for their song “Somebody Loves Me.” However, The Weeknd did not receive any nominations despite ending his Grammy boycott with his latest album “Hurry Up Tomorrow.”

The list of Canadian nominees spans various categories, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and several genre-specific awards like Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Metal Performance, and Best Dance Pop Recording.
