Rapper and singer MGK is set to headline the halftime show at the 112th Grey Cup, as announced by the CFL. The artist, previously known as Machine Gun Kelly, has achieved significant success with the release of seven studio albums. His 2020 album, “Tickets to My Downfall,” was certified double platinum in the United States, and his latest work, “Lost Americana,” was launched in August.
In addition to MGK’s performance, Our Lady Peace, a band that gained fame in Canada during the 1990s with alternative rock albums like “Naveed” and “Clumsy,” will headline the kickoff show. Country singer Catie St. Germain from Niverville, Manitoba, will deliver the national anthem.
The Grey Cup, scheduled for November 16, will take place in Winnipeg. Last year’s halftime show at the Grey Cup in Vancouver featured the Jonas Brothers.
