The streaming service revealed that the show will feature exclusive testimonies from close associates, including lifelong friends and his sister Mia Perry Bowick, a grief specialist who has openly shared her grieving process after Perry’s demise.
According to Netflix, the docuseries will delve into Perry’s life beyond his public image, shedding light on his personal struggles and the impact he had through his honesty and advocacy efforts. Perry tragically passed away at the age of 54 from a ketamine overdose in his backyard hot tub. Legal actions were taken against several individuals involved in supplying him with the drug, with Dr. Salvador Plasencia, who sold Perry ketamine, currently appealing his 30-month prison sentence.
