Canadian fans of BTS are eagerly anticipating the K-pop group’s upcoming world tour, including a two-night performance in Toronto. This tour marks the group’s first global tour following the completion of their mandatory military service, a requirement for all eligible men in South Korea aged 18 to 28.

Scheduled for August 22 and 23 at Rogers Stadium, these concerts will be BTS’s first in Canada since 2018. The announcement of the tour on Tuesday left mother-son duo Sokvin and Jordan Vann thrilled, with Jordan expressing their excitement on CBC Radio’s Metro Morning.

The Vanns had tickets to BTS’s 2020 concert, which was canceled due to the pandemic. Jordan shared that BTS was a source of hope during the challenging times of COVID-19 and now, after completing their military service, their return to the stage is highly anticipated.

Sokvin mentioned how BTS helped her cope with personal challenges, including the loss of her brother and embracing her Asian heritage.
