Canadian comedic actress Catherine O’Hara posthumously received the Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series award at the recent Actor Awards in Los Angeles. O’Hara, who passed away at 71 due to a blood clot in her lung, was honored for her role as Patty Leigh in the Apple TV comedy series “The Studio.” The audience gave her a standing ovation when her win was announced, and co-creator Seth Rogen accepted the award on her behalf.

Rogen praised O’Hara for her talent and generosity, highlighting her knack for improving scenes with her ideas. The show, “The Studio,” also dominated the comedy categories at the awards ceremony, securing wins for Best Comedy Series and Best Actor for Rogen. O’Hara, known for her iconic roles in films like “Home Alone” and “Beetlejuice,” as well as her memorable performance in “Schitt’s Creek,” had previously won two Actor Awards for her work on the latter show.
