The popularity of Crave’s “Heated Rivalry” has extended beyond entertainment to the realms of fashion and the Olympics. Fans were captivated by a specific outfit worn by character Shane Hollander, portrayed by Canadian actor Hudson Williams, leading to a clamor for its availability for purchase.

In the show, Hollander, a Canadian hockey prodigy eyeing a spot in the Olympics, dons a custom-designed Team Canada zip-up fleece, deviating from the official Team Canada gear. This unique sportswear gained rapid traction on social media, with enthusiasts expressing their eagerness to own it. Costume designer Hanna Puley, touched by the overwhelming response, shared her inspiration behind the creation, emphasizing the representation of Canadian identity and comfort.

The buzz surrounding the fleece even reached the official Team Canada account, prompting playful interactions with fans intrigued by the garment. Subsequently, a teasing post hinted at the potential production of an authentic “Heated Rivalry” fleece, sparking further excitement among followers.

In a bid to see the design materialize, a Change.org petition was initiated, advocating for its adoption to enhance inclusivity among diverse fan demographics. While some enthusiasts attempted DIY versions of the fleece, strict regulations from Team Canada dictate that only authorized entities can associate with the Olympic Games.

Notably, the National Flag of Canada and its iconic maple leaf emblem are safeguarded by trademark laws, restricting unauthorized commercial usage. Team Canada has yet to confirm their decision on producing the sought-after fleece, maintaining silence on inquiries from CBC.
