The forecast predicts heavy rainfall, which could reach up to 60 millimetres and possibly more on Sunday. The ground is frozen, so the rain may not be absorbed quickly. The rain may briefly freeze before transitioning to regular rain. Environment Canada expects the rain to intensify in the afternoon and evening, with minimal ice buildup.
There is a chance of localized flooding and isolated thunderstorms. Wind gusts reaching 80 to 90 km/h are expected starting Monday, which could result in power outages and property damage.
