Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, passed away on Sunday, as confirmed by a family spokesperson. The Santa Monica Police Department is looking into Gerber’s death as a possible overdose, according to an official statement. There is currently no evidence of foul play, and the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.

Gerber, known for his work as a model and advocate for mental health, tragically died at a rehabilitation facility in Los Angeles, as reported in online records from the L.A. County Medical Examiner. The medical examiner’s office conducted an examination on Monday, with the cause and manner of death pending further testing and studies to reach a conclusion.

The investigation into Gerber’s death is ongoing, with limited information available, according to an email from the medical examiner’s office. The statement mentioned that the Santa Monica Police Department is leading the investigation, and no additional details or cause of death have been disclosed at this time.

Allie Jenkins, a representative for Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, confirmed Gerber’s passing and requested privacy for the family during this challenging period. Presley was the older sibling of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

His fashion endeavors included campaigns and runway appearances for renowned brands like Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. In 2018, he notably featured alongside his mother in Pepsi’s Super Bowl LII commercial. Gerber had openly discussed his mental health struggles and substance use, initiating conversations through his “Mental Health Mondays” series on Instagram.

In a deleted Instagram video last December, Gerber shared his experience with medications like buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium while coping with panic attacks. His sister, Kaia Gerber, addressed his challenges in an interview with Vogue magazine in August, highlighting how such family experiences can impact everyone involved.
