In a surprising turn of events during the grand finale of Survivor 50, host Jeff Probst accidentally disclosed the outcome of a critical fire-making challenge before it aired. The blunder occurred when Probst prematurely revealed Rizo Velovic as the losing contestant, mistakenly eliminating him from the competition.

The incident unfolded after Aubry Bracco secured her spot in the Final Three by winning the final immunity challenge. This left Velovic and Jonathan to face off in the high-stakes fire-making challenge. During a live segment, just before the challenge was set to be broadcast, Probst unexpectedly disclosed Velovic’s fate, naming him as the last juror of the season.

As Probst directed Velovic to join the jury members, the mistake became apparent to both the contestants and the live audience, eliciting audible gasps and reactions. Despite the slip-up, Probst tried to downplay the error upon the show’s return from a commercial break, humorously referring to it as a “Survivor twist.”

Acknowledging the blunder, Probst jokingly explained the sequence of events and labeled it as the final twist of the season, receiving a mixed response from the audience. He even humorously predicted the outcome of the fire-making challenge, adding a playful spin to the situation.

Despite the mishap, no official statement has been issued by CBS, the broadcaster of the show. Ultimately, Bracco emerged victorious in Survivor Season 50, triumphing over Jonathon Young and Joe Hunter in an 8-3-0 jury vote to claim the coveted $2 million US prize.
