CF Montreal has officially extended the contract of forward Prince Owusu for five more years, the club disclosed on Friday. The agreement covers the 2026, 2027, and 2027-28 seasons, with provisions for the 2028-29 and 2029-30 campaigns, utilizing targeted allocation funds.

In his debut season with the team in 2025, Owusu netted a total of 17 goals in various competitions, including 13 in Major League Soccer, two in the Canadian Championship, and another two in the Leagues Cup. His remarkable performance earned him the Giuseppe-Saputo Trophy as CF Montreal’s Most Valuable Player.

The 28-year-old player was initially brought to CF Montreal through a trade with Toronto FC on January 13, 2025. Prior to joining the Ghanaian national team last month, Owusu had previously represented Germany at the under-15, U18, and U19 levels.
