A tragic incident occurred in Digby County on Tuesday resulting in the death of a child following an ATV crash. According to the RCMP, the authorities responded to a call in Mount Pleasant, N.S., near Digby, on Tuesday around 3:20 p.m. regarding an overturned ATV in a field. The child, who was a passenger on the ATV, sustained severe injuries from the accident.
After administering initial aid at the scene, the child was transported to the hospital by ambulance but sadly succumbed to the injuries later on. The RCMP did not reveal the child’s age or gender but mentioned that the child was believed to have been wearing a helmet during the crash. No charges are expected to be filed as per the RCMP statement.
The ATV driver did not report any injuries from the incident.
