Summer in Canada offers a perfect opportunity for antique collectors, thrifting fans, and those seeking an enjoyable road trip to explore the country’s outdoor antique fairs and markets. These popular events attract numerous respected dealers, provide a curated selection of goods, and cater to both casual browsers and serious treasure hunters. Some even enhance the experience with on-site food trucks for added fun.

Here are eight must-visit antique fairs and markets to mark in your summer calendar:

1. Aberfoyle Antique Market: Positioned just south of Guelph, Ontario, the acclaimed outdoor Aberfoyle Antique Market, touted as Canada’s largest, runs every Sunday until October 25. With over 100 vendors offering collectibles, furniture, and folk art, visitors can also enjoy two Saturday Special Shows each year, with the upcoming one on September 19.

2. Old Strathcona Antique Mall Parking Lot Sale: Edmonton’s Old Strathcona Antique Mall hosts seasonal sales in its parking lot on select days during the summer. In addition to exploring the mall’s indoor vendors, guests can browse for vintage treasures outdoors. The upcoming sales are scheduled for July 12, August 3, and September 7, while the mall itself operates from Tuesday to Sunday weekly.

3. Saugeen Shores Antique & Collectible Show: Celebrating its 48th anniversary, the Saugeen Shores Antique & Collectible Show will take place on July 18 and 19 at the Southampton Coliseum in Southampton, Ontario. Over 80 vendors will showcase vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, and more, with sought-after items like Pyrex tableware, retro toys, and rare trading cards.

4. Vintage Pasture Sale: The sixth annual Vintage Pasture Sale on July 18 at Locality Brewing in Langley, British Columbia, will feature over 40 vendors offering vintage and antique discoveries. Inspired by French brocantes, this event will also include food trucks, farm stands, and a beer garden for a delightful visitor experience.

5. Sussex Flea Market: Hosted at Princess Louise Park in Sussex, New Brunswick, from August 14 to 16, the Sussex Flea Market, organized by the New Brunswick Antique Auto Club, anticipates welcoming over 800 vendors selling a wide range of items, from household goods to rare collectibles.
