Police are currently looking into two suspicious deaths following the discovery of the bodies of a 38-year-old man and a 53-year-old man in a residence located in the Rabbittown neighborhood of St. John’s. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary promptly arrived at a residence on Aldershot Street around 9 a.m. NT on Monday, as confirmed by Constable Stephanie Myers. The bodies were later removed from the premises in the early afternoon by officers dressed in white Tyvek suits. Myers mentioned that law enforcement will maintain a presence at the location for an extended period to ensure the scene’s security during the ongoing investigation.
In a statement released on Monday afternoon, the RNC requested information and video footage from individuals in the vicinity of Aldershot and surrounding streets on December 1 between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Collaboration with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is planned to gather further insights into the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The on-site team includes officers from the criminal investigation division, forensic identification services, and operational patrol, according to Myers.
