Authorities reported that the Toronto Emergency Management and Public Order Unit recently utilized specialized drone technology to detect and intercept seven unauthorized drone flights in the vicinity of the baseball stadium during games held on Sunday and Monday. The police have pressed eight charges against seven individuals for contravening Canadian Aviation Regulations and breaching federally designated no-fly zones. According to the drone policy at Rogers Centre, the stadium falls within the no-fly zone of the nearby Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. Earlier this month, law enforcement fined two individuals for flying drones over the stadium during games. The Blue Jays are set to host Game 6 against the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series on Sunday.
