Two days after Joseph Duggar, a former reality TV star from “19 Kids and Counting,” was arrested, his wife Kendra Duggar also faced an arrest warrant in Tontitown, Arkansas. The Tontitown Arkansas Police Department charged Kendra Duggar with four counts each of endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment in the second degree on Friday. These charges were also levied against Joseph Duggar, who was originally arrested last week for lewd and lascivious conduct involving a minor under 12 years old in connection with an alleged 2020 incident in Panama Beach, Fla.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the victim’s father confronted Joseph Duggar about the incidents on March 17, 2026. Duggar confessed to his actions to both the victim’s father and Tontitown Detectives. Joseph Duggar waived his right to an extradition hearing on Friday, paving the way for his transfer to Florida to face the child molestation charge.

Kendra Duggar was released after her arrest upon posting a $1,470 US bond, as per information from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office website. The Duggar family did not provide a comment to CBC News following the events.

The latest charges against Joseph and Kendra Duggar come nearly five years after Joseph’s older brother Josh was convicted of downloading child sexual abuse images. Josh’s conviction stemmed from the use of a computer at a car dealership owned by him to download such disturbing images in 2019. He received a 12½-year prison sentence in 2022, with the Supreme Court rejecting his appeal in 2024.

Both Josh and Joseph Duggar were part of the reality show “19 Kids and Counting,” which focused on the lives of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, an Independent Baptist couple raising their children, all with names starting with the letter J. The show aired from 2008 to 2015, when it was canceled due to allegations of Josh Duggar’s past molestation of four sisters and a babysitter. Subsequent series, including “Counting On,” were also axed following Josh Duggar’s arrest.

The courtship and marriage of Joseph and Kendra Duggar were featured on “Counting On,” but the couple has since retreated from the public eye. Their last Instagram post from 2021 commemorated their third child’s second birthday.
