The Blue Jays showcased strong offense and pitching against the Seattle Mariners in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series, leading to a 6-2 victory and setting up a decisive Game 7. Toronto capitalized on fielding errors by Seattle early in the game, with Addison Barger’s single contributing to the scoring. Barger and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. each hit home runs, extending the Jays’ lead to 5-0. Rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage played a key role in keeping the Mariners scoreless for five innings, recording seven strikeouts. Despite a brief comeback by Seattle in the sixth inning, Toronto responded with more runs in the following innings.

Guerrero’s unconventional baserunning in the seventh inning added another run for the Blue Jays. Closer Jeff Hoffman’s strong performance sealed the win for Toronto. The teams will face off in Game 7, with Toronto starting veteran pitcher Shane Bieber and Seattle countering with George Kirby. The winner will advance to the World Series to battle the Los Angeles Dodgers. Toronto aims to return to the World Series for the first time since 1993, while Seattle seeks its maiden appearance in the Fall Classic.
