Pedro Elias Garzon Delvaux, a 15-year-old teenager living in Rambouillet, near Paris, found himself unwittingly thrust into the spotlight when a photo of him at the Louvre on the day of a crown jewels heist went viral. Rather than immediately revealing his identity, Pedro, a fan of detective characters like Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot, opted to maintain the mystery surrounding the sharply dressed individual in the photo known as “Fedora Man.”

In his first in-person interview following the photo’s circulation, Pedro sported a classic ensemble including a fedora hat, a Yves Saint Laurent waistcoat borrowed from his father, a jacket picked out by his mother, a neat tie, Tommy Hilfiger trousers, and a vintage Russian watch. His attire pays homage to French resistance hero Jean Moulin.

The iconic image captured by AP photographer Thibault Camus depicted a crime scene outside the Louvre following the jewel heist, with Pedro casually strolling past the scene, creating a noir-esque contrast with the modern-day setting. The photo quickly gained traction online, with users speculating about Fedora Man’s identity, with some even suggesting he might be AI-generated due to his vintage appearance.

Pedro clarified that he, along with his mother and grandfather, were simply visiting the Louvre that day without knowledge of the heist. The image was captured as they inquired about the museum’s closure, and Pedro was caught mid-stride by the photographer.

Following the photo’s viral spread, Pedro was surprised by the sudden fame and the global attention he received. Despite the unexpected turn of events, Pedro remains composed and is open to future opportunities that may arise from his newfound recognition, including potential involvement in films.

Inspired by 20th-century fashion and historical figures, Pedro’s distinctive style is not just a temporary guise but a reflection of his personal taste and admiration for elegant aesthetics. Raised in an artistic environment by his mother, who has a background in museum curation, Pedro’s exposure to art and culture has shaped his appreciation for aesthetics and imagery, leading him to embrace his unique style with confidence.

As the world continues to speculate and create stories around the enigmatic Fedora Man, Pedro remains unfazed, allowing others to uncover his identity while keeping an open mind about the exciting possibilities that may lie ahead for him.
