CBC North’s program, “The Trailbreaker,” is scheduled to air live from the Diavik diamond mine on Wednesday and Thursday. Shannon Scott from CBC will be interviewing mine employees and management to discuss the upcoming closure of Diavik in 2026. Listeners can tune in via the CBC listen app to catch the broadcast from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. on both days.
Located approximately 300 kilometers north of Yellowknife, the Diavik diamond mine has been operational for over two decades. The mine, which is slated for closure next year, will be the focus of the live broadcast.
