Two individuals have been accused by Windsor authorities following an incident involving sexual assault and robbery that was reported on Monday morning in the vicinity of Devonshire Mall. The police were alerted to a robbery occurring in a vehicle on Howard Avenue’s 3100 block in the early hours of Monday, where a woman had arranged to meet a man she had connected with online. Upon entering the man’s vehicle, the woman discovered another unknown male present, both of whom tried to engage in unwanted sexual contact with her, as per police reports released on Monday.
The woman resisted their advances and attempted to contact emergency services; however, one of the men allegedly choked her and stole her possessions before escaping the scene with his accomplice. Shortly after, law enforcement apprehended two suspects: a 23-year-old male facing charges of sexual assault, assault by choking, and robbery, while a 20-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault.
