Spider-Man may have met his match in a surprising foe: extraordinarily spicy chicken wings. Tom Holland, aged 30, and Jon Bernthal, aged 49, both stars of the upcoming movie “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” recently appeared on the popular YouTube series “Hot Ones.” The challenge involved answering questions while devouring increasingly fiery wings.

Holland successfully tackled all 10 rounds of wings, but the real drama unfolded after the final bite. In a first for the show’s 11-year history, Holland became the initial guest to vomit during an episode. Thankfully, the moment occurred off-camera.

During the filming of the show’s outro, Holland experienced a sudden bout of coughing and briefly threw up beneath the table. Bernthal, playing the role of hype man, enthusiastically cheered on the unexpected turn of events. Holland, maintaining a positive attitude, joked about not getting any vomit on his clothes.

The episode took a turn for the unexpected just before the infamous “last dab” challenge, where participants coat their final wing in the spiciest sauce. Holland and Bernthal attempted to devour the entire wing, leading to regrettable consequences.

Despite the spicy ordeal, Holland managed to express his gratitude towards Bernthal, his longtime friend and co-star, for being a positive influence in his life and career. The duo, who first shared the screen in the 2017 movie “Pilgrimage,” have a strong bond that extends beyond their on-screen collaborations.

“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to premiere on July 31, adding to the duo’s list of successful projects. The movie is highly anticipated following the actors’ previous box office hits. Christopher Nolan’s film “The Odyssey,” in which Bernthal starred, achieved significant success, grossing over $260 million globally during its opening weekend, marking a milestone in the filmmaker’s career.
