Fabrice Morvan, known for his involvement in Milli Vanilli, has joined the list of artists withdrawing from the 250th-anniversary concerts in Washington, D.C. Despite initially showing enthusiasm for the summer performances, Morvan had a change of heart and expressed his discontent on CNN, labeling the recent developments as a “circus.”

While Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida are the remaining acts from the original lineup scheduled to appear at the Freedom 250 anniversary events organized by the Trump administration, several artists, including Poison’s Bret Michaels, Martina McBride, Young MC, Morris Day and the Time, and the Commodores, have backed out due to concerns over the event’s political undertones.

Amidst the uncertainties surrounding C+C Music Factory’s participation, lead rapper Freedom Williams posted a video expressing surprise at being associated with the “Trump Freedom show.” Morvan cited the withdrawal of Young MC as a factor that raised doubts for him, leading to his decision not to attend the June 26 celebration.

Having experienced fame and controversy as part of Milli Vanilli alongside the late Rob Pilatus, Morvan distanced himself from political affiliations, emphasizing his intent to unite people through music and entertainment. As the event faces scrutiny for its perceived ties to former President Donald Trump, Morvan’s exit adds to the ongoing saga of artists withdrawing from the anniversary concerts.

Despite the turmoil surrounding the event, the organizers continue to promote Freedom 250 as a celebration of the American spirit. Trump’s contemplation of canceling the concerts and headlining the event himself has stirred further controversy, with Morvan opting to focus on his dedication to connecting with audiences through his performances.
