The Canadian Screen Awards, the premier event celebrating film, television, and digital storytelling in Canada, showcased a star-studded red carpet on Sunday night. Among the notable attendees were Hudson Williams from “Heated Rivalry,” Mae Martin from “Wayward,” Anna Lambe from “North of North,” and the recipient of the Academy Icon Award, Mike Myers.

Hosted by comedian Andrew Phung of “Kim’s Convenience,” the event marked the grand finale of Canadian Screen Week and was broadcast live on CBC Gem and the CBC YouTube channel. A new regulation restricted awards eligibility to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, leading to some notable nominees like Connor Storrie from “Heated Rivalry” and Barbie Ferreira from “Mile End Kicks” being excluded from contention.

Despite the eligibility restrictions, the red carpet remained a prominent platform for Canadian fashion, with celebrities showcasing a mix of local and international designer outfits. Here are some of the standout looks from the 2026 Canadian Screen Awards:

– Canadian Screen Awards host, Andrew Phung, donned a custom dark brown ensemble by Toronto label Mayer, complemented by shoes from Montreal-based Aldo.
– Actor Nadine Bhabha, known for her role in “Heated Rivalry,” wore a stunning strapless gown by Starkers Corsetry, paired with Pandora jewelry and Aldo heels.
– Anna Lambe, recognized as the best lead performer in a comedy for her work in “North of North,” dazzled in a vintage Pat McDonagh dress from Toronto’s Nouveau Riche, accessorized with Maison Birks jewelry and Aldo shoes.
– Shamier Anderson, actor and co-founder of The Black Academy, opted for a tailored single-breasted brown suit with a striped shirt and matching pocket square.
– Karine Vanasse, an actor and producer, made a statement in a sculptural halterneck black gown by Ukrainian label Bevza, complemented by jewelry from Canadian designer Dean Davidson.
– Hudson Williams, winner of the best lead performer in a drama series, sported a dark brown tuxedo by Dolce & Gabbana, accessorized with a pendant necklace and hoop earrings.
– Sophie Nélisse, recipient of the Radius Award and best supporting performer in a drama for “Heated Rivalry,” looked elegant in a tailored black Ami tuxedo, white shirt, and satin tie, accentuated with Maison Birks jewelry and a sleek updo.
– Mike Myers, the celebrated actor and comedian honored with the Academy Icon Award, exuded sophistication in a classic single-breasted black suit, white shirt, black tie, and his Order of Canada lapel pin.
– Tia Wood, the singer-songwriter, turned heads in a textured beige-and-white gown by Canadian label Narces, adorned with shoulder-grazing earrings by Delia Estelle Designs.
– Giacomo Gianniotti, known for his role in “Wild Cards,” showcased a relaxed dark blue ensemble from Canadian retailer Harry Rosen, featuring a Giorgio Armani suit, Tom Ford shirt, bow tie, Hamilton watch, and Aldo shoes.
– Presenter Supinder Wraich captivated in an eye-catching beige sheer tulle gown embellished with red appliqué sequined flowers by Canadian label Narces.
– Miku Martineau, from “Bet,” radiated elegance in a strapless butter-yellow Et Ochs gown with a draped floor-length skirt, complemented by a statement necklace.
